Entering Spooky Season

As our summer enters it's late stage, and Spirit Halloween has opened in the bones of old brick and mortar stores across the country, the witchy esthetic is everywhere, baby witches are more comfortable to come out of the woodwork and dabbling is on the rise. It happens every year like clockwork.

And here's the thing. Anyone can do it. Anyone can dabble in spell work, or with spirit, but that also means that those who do create a world of mess for those of us who don't dabble, but rather practice full time and year round.

It isn't innocent fun. Emotions can take things to an entirely different level than what you might think your intentions are trying for. And regardless of if you subscribe to the rule of three (I, myself, do not) there are worse things that can come come dabbling.

All spell works are binding. Some believe that binding magic is grey or black magic, but every spell you enact is a binding spell in some shape or form. That means it's taking energy, in whatever aspect, from where it was originally going, and applying it to another energy. It's literally taking away to give to another. It doesn't matter if it's a freezer spell or a money spell or anything else. Dabbling in this, is not okay.

The same thing happens with spirit work. The Ouija boards are out in full force pretty soon. It doesn't help that you can find them in every big box store, right in the board games aisle. It makes dabbling that much easier to do. There's proper etiquette when working with spirit. Spirit boards, pendulums, cards, any and all divination have etiquette and proper ways to use, cleanse, maintain and close out sessions. Even Mediumship and Paranormal Investigations have etiquette with spirit work.

If you are curious about learning spell work or spirit work, there are classes and books dedicated to these subjects. Speaking with someone who works in these mediums will be extremely beneficial. Below are some services I offer, but you can also find mentoring programs on my website as well.

Wishing you all a safe and happy and dabble-free spooky season!
